Year-round Vineyard Camping

Once the site of an old schoolhouse from the 1800s, the trees that surrounded the schoolhouse still stand at a picnic spot on our vineyard. 95 acres, with 68 planted under vine, the ranch is a wonderful spot to enjoy a glass of wine, a campfire, and a beautiful view.

Pianetta started working with Hipcamp in March of 2016; and since then, we've had several hundred people stay - from first-time campers to seasoned pros. Hipcamp - like VRBO for landowners - is a small company based out of San Francisco with the goal to help people get outside. The site allows customers to search for campsites based on location, amenities, and activities; they can then schedule their stay and communicate with the landowners through the Hipcamp portal.

In Sunset Magazine's March 2017, TRAVEL, "Rent a Life: Three alternative stays that let you try on the local lifestyle," they write:"...this camping perch is a great way for vino lovers to indulge and linger with winemakers..."

In May of 2016, KSBY News did a feature on Hipcamp at Pianetta Winery and Vineyards. We definitely noticed an increase in our bookings afterward, but since the March issue of Sunset Magazine, our campsites are filling up months in advance.

Jenice says: "Caitlin, John and Beau (the dog) are great hosts! We had a blast there! The winery is beautiful, quiet, serene, and the wine is superb. I definitely recommend this site to those who like to look at the stars with a bottle of Pianetta wine. We are already planning our next trip there! Thank you Pianetta Winery, you guys are great!!"

Camping is growing in popularity, and the ability to camp alongside the vineyards that were picked to produce the wine in your glass is a truly special experience.
